To determine your ring size, do the following:

  • Use a piece of string or dental floss and wrap it around the base of your finger.
  • Use a pen to mark the point on the string where the end meets.
  • Use a millimeter ruler to measure the string.
  • Choose the closest measurement to the chart above to find your ring size.

Tips for best results:

  • Allow enough room to accommodate your knuckle.
  • Bear in mind, different fingers on the same and the opposite hand may have different sizes. Therefore, measure the specific finger on which you are planning to wear the ring.
  • Measure your finger at the end of the day when your finger is likely to be largest.

TRAY & CANDELABRA HISTORY

Arje Griegst spent several periods throughout his career at the Bel Fiore bronze foundry in Pietrasanta, Italy working on objects in bronze. Using the same self-invented cire perdue technique as in his Spiral series and other jewellery, he conjured bronze candlesticks and candelabras from the 1960s ad onwards. From pieces that almost melt across the table to fairytale growths sprouting water agate eggs they all embody his recurring ideas around metamorphosis.

CANDLESTICK SKETCH

The problems changed for Arje when he started to work in large format instead of jewellery. By drawing a great number of large sketches in charcoal on grey paper he captured the form and anchored the shape in what he wanted to evoke with the candlesticks.

CANDLESTICK NO. 3 & NO. 2

The organically shaped candlesticks can partly be seen as the beginning of the dynamic and sculptural large scale work that followed Arje's occupation later in his life.

THE CANDELABRA LIGHT, 1968

The candelabra Lys "Light" is an eight branched candelabra, created as a ritual object and so-called Hanukkah candlestick.
